Self Refer for Physiotherapy
Musculoskeletal physiotherapy helps people who are experiencing joint pains, muscle pains, sprains and strains.
You can now self-refer for physiotherapy for both the Belfast and South-Eastern Trust areas.
SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTIONS (STI)
For those with no symptoms, please order a free home test kit at: www.sh24.org.uk.
If you have symptoms or had a positive home test, please contact our GUM service on 028 9615 2111 (8.15am to 10.15am, Monday to Friday).
Community Pharmacists
Community Pharmacists offer professional free health advice on everyday illnesses, such as cough, colds, aches and pains. They can also advise about prescribed and over-the-counter medicines and Minor Ailments
Acute Eye Problems (NI PEARS)
Northern Ireland Primary Eyecare Assessment and Referral Service (NI PEARS) is a service provided by most optometry practices across Northern Ireland for patients who develop a sudden eye problem.
Lifeline helpline
Lifeline is the Northern Ireland crisis response helpline service for people who are experiencing distress or despair.
You can call Lifeline on 0808 808 8000, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Minor ailments
If you have a minor ailment you may be able to speak to a pharmacist without waiting to see a GP. These conditions include:
Acne / Athlete’s foot / Acute Diarrhoea / Ear Wax / Infections of the groin / Haemorrhoids / Head Lice / Mouth Ulcers / Scabies / Threadworms / Oral Thrush / Vaginal Thrush / Verrucae
