The Pain Toolkit is for people who live with persistent pain and Healthcare teams who support them.

People can use the Pain Toolkit on their own or with the support of their healthcare professional.

The Pain Toolkit is an interactive and simple information booklet, that provides readers or listeners with handy tips and skills to support them along the way to self-managing their pain or long-term health condition.


For patients experiencing both acute and chronic pain. This video covers different types of pain and what may cause pain or make it worse.

This video covers the impact of Opioid medication on different types of pain and the long term side-effects of Opioids such as increased risk of falls, lower sex-drive; lower immune function and poorer quality sleep. 


Better Days Programme by the Healthy Living Centre alliance. This program seeks to empower people to take more control over their personal health, promoting an ethos of peer-led self-management for people with long-term conditions. It focuses on Supporting people to self-manage their pain and live better and happier lives.

Versus Arthritis provides information for people living with arthritis. This service provides patients, their families, and friends with support, understanding, information and expertise so they can get the most out of life.
