Non-NHS Medical Services
Non-NHS Services
Some services are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include:
Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
Insurance claim forms
Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
Private sick notes
Vaccination certificates
Letters about condition
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
Ear Syringing
In line with current best practice, ear syringing is no longer the safest way to deal with ear wax - you can read more here. It is not possible to book into the treatment room for ear syringing. You can seek treatment via the Minor Ailments scheme at a participating chemist. If your symptoms persist and you need further advice, please book a routine appointment with a GP.
