Information regarding increase in Circulating Group A StREP & Scarlet Fever
We are aware that Group A Streptococcus Infections and Scarlet Fever are circulating at a level that is higher than normal at this time of year.
We appreciate the concern and distress that the media surrounding this is causing for parents and carers in an Autumn / Winter season where we are already experiencing higher levels of seasonal infections. We would seek to reassure parents and carers that for the vast majority of children, upper respiratory tract infections are mild and self limiting illnesses.
We would ask that parents and carers take the time to review the video and information below. We hope you find the following information useful to help identify if you do need to seek medical attention or advice.
